I grew up in a household where, by New Years Eve, the house was spotless. For the last 5 days of the year, floors, windows, cupboards, everything — all scrubbed to perfection; and if it couldn’t be cleaned, it was replaced. When I started living on my own, I quickly realized I am not my mother and I would definitely need more than 5 days; so instead I created a system that would make sense for me: purge, cleanse, organize, rejuvenate, replenish, and accessorize.
