Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas (Shopping Guides)

ORIGINAL POST DATE: 12-18-2019

If you’re here, then I’d like to think you’re my people…right? And if you’re really my people then you’re also my kind of holiday shopper…

There are two types of holiday shoppers —

  1. the shopper who’s been planning since Labor Day and actually purchasing gifts since Halloween, so on Black Friday, they’re doing “last-minute” shopping

  2. the shopper who only started thinking about holiday shopping after Thanksgiving & isn’t above giving holiday gifts in the new year

I am definitely the latter and I’m willing to bet you are too!

I am so much of a last-minute shopper, I have resolved to just give gifts in the new year… New Year’s gifts, lol. Because let’s be honest, most of the gifts I’m giving are to grown adults and very few are actually putting gifts under their tree & ripping em open on Christmas morning; but I know that adults love getting happy mail, and nothing’s happier than a random gift in January!

While everyone had their gift guides up and running since November, I decided to put together these last-minute holiday shopping gift guides for us last-minute holiday shoppers.

So what do you get people when you’re shopping at the 11th hour? Yeah, you could start handing out gift cards like they’re candy on Halloween, but I’ve got some better last-minute gift ideas! All of these gifts are awesome year-round but just get a tad bit more special this time of year. And better yet, so many retailers now offer in-store and/or curbside pick up… just in case you actually want to give the gift before the year ends.

For this updated guide, I decided to focus on Amazon Prime items, because while many retailers are doing in-store & curbside (aka the closest I ever get to a store these days) the current reality is that the retail industry is still feeling the weight of supply chain issues.

Bonus Shopping Tip

One of my favorite shopping hacks is using Rakuten formerly known as Ebates. I earn cashback on my online purchases, meaning I literally get paid to shop. Thank me later!
