New Reversible Design Class With Skillshare

Albie Fact: I love to teach! And not in a “I wanna be a teacher” kind of way, because teachers are a very special kind of human…but, I just love to share information.

Information is power & what’s the point of one person hoarding it all?

I even started to create a e-courses a few years back — they’re still tbd by the way — so when Emily Henderson & Skillshare asked me to be part of her second course series, it was a no brainer! And even more of a no brainer was what my class would be on — renter friendly reversible design.

What is Reversible Design?

…exactly what the name implies — design that you can un-design, aka reverse.

As a lifelong renter, I relied on renter friendly design solutions to make sure that I never had to sacrifice making our home actually feel like home. My entire book is based on the premise of making your home the home you want…now. But it’s not just about renting. Now as a homeowner, I have implemented a mix of reversible & permanent design solutions — from changing out door hardware to knocking down a wall.

Reversible design is all about the freedom of experimentation…

whether it’s because you rent, live with roommates, are on a budget, and/or just someone with design commitment issues. In the course, I tackle some of my favorite reversible projects for you to not just follow along but for you to do as well — changing out door hardware, installing plug in lighting, and hanging removable wallpaper. I also share how you can reverse reversible designs. Are these the only reversible design options? Not even close! There are so many small (and large) ways that you can design, love it, then change your mind later.

The class is officially live now so you can sign up for the course and get a free two-week Skillshare trial. When you sign up, you’ll go through 3 projects with me, and you’ll be able to share what you do right with the class as well — homework, but a lot more useful fun.

What’s Next?

I won’t lie — this was a brand new experience so it made me all kinds of nervous. I’m used to filming for my YouTube channel and IG stories — which are still sometimes uncomfortable — but with this class, I would be stepping out of my comfort zone to film something of this magnitude. It’s like I had this dream for so long that I realized I was awake & living it, it scared me!
