Shop With Me: Garage & Shed Organization
After we moved in last Fall, we spent the next couple of months tackling a number of projects. Aside from a crippling case of creative fatigue, it also shown a light on all the many ways we needed to improve the least designed part of the house: the garage.
If you read my post all about my garage design daydreaming, then you know my focus has been on storage and organization. Getting properly organized requires a lot of steps before you start shopping storage solutions... but that doesn't stop me from window shopping...
To be fair, most of what's in my cart isn't exclusively for the garage.
As we began to assess how we'd be using the garage, we realized it was intrinsically linked to our outdoor storage shed -- because we have both, we can discern between what should be stored in the more accessible garage versus what should be in the outdoor storage shed (i.e. lawnmower, trimmer, pressure washer, rakes, shovels, etc.).
That said, shopping for garage storage also means shopping for outdoor storage.
We were fortunate that the previous homeowners left 3 storage sheds outdoor -- 1 wood, 2 plastic. This gives us options... and I like options. And with the garage being a blank slate... my storage solutions are bountiful.
Needless to say, my first stop for storage inspiration and solutions is The Container Store. In case you missed it, I am one of their 20 new brand ambassadors for 2021-22.
