IKEA's 2018 Winter Sale Is Here!
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…”
Word of IKEA’s annual post-holiday winter sale hit the interwebs & I was all over it, and I gotta say — it’s a good one!
Now that the fanfare of Christmas shopping is somewhat winding down, if you’ve been putting off updating your home, this is one sale you’re going to want to get into for yourself.
In addition to a whole gaggle of new low prices (like actual pricing, and not just a sale) all over the site, select items are as far up to 50% off online.
Popular classics like the STRANDMON Wing Chairs, bookcases from the BILLY SERIES, and ALEX Desks are all already on sale on the site in select colors.
As a member of their loyalty program, IKEA FAMILY, from December 26th to January 6th, you can take advantage of winter sale.
Because I’m a member (no shocker there!) I browsed the site to really see what the savings added up to:
the regularly priced $249 STRANDMON is on sale for $169 (except the $279 color way, which is on sale for $189)
the iconic BILLY bookcases that are on sale are only the birch veneer options, included the BILLY/OXBERG combinations, but quite a few of the options that aren’t on sale have new lower pricing
the matching desk to the VERY popular ALEX drawers (they knew better than to put those on sale) are on sale from $149 to $99
While you can definitely take advantage of the savings online — which is my fav way to shop — I can guarantee, that you’re gonna wanna put on some pants, hop in the car, and head to your local store because that’s where the biggest deals are!

While I don’t particularly need anything from IKEA, I may just pop in and check out the sale — research of course! — at my local store. Walking into IKEA is always a fun surprise, so I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.
